Zyprexa (Olanzapine)
The pills of Zyprexa come in the round shape of white, yellow, blue or pink colors depending on the dosage and the producer. The usual dosages for one tablet, which contains olanzapine, are 5 and 10 mg. The medicine belongs to the group of antipsychotic remedies. Its active component is olanzapine.
Pharmacological use
Zyprexa is an antipsychotic drug with a wide pharmacological spectrum of effects on several receptor systems. This medicine is prescribed if the patient has an acute form of schizophrenia and other psychoses, accompanied by pronounced positive (delirium, hallucinations, thinking disorders, hostility, suspiciousness) or negative (the dull affect, an emotional and social fencing, poor speech activity) symptoms. Also, in case there are secondary affective symptoms against schizophrenia and related disorders.

This drug has a set of side effects for health if used any differently from doctor’s orders. Side effects can be various, for example:
